Trash to treasure swap

I recently participated in a swap on the forums at Polymer Clay Central called the Trash to Treasure Round Robin Swap. The swap's originator thought it would be nice for members to share items they no longer wanted or needed with others on the forum; clay or anything that could be used with clay was fair game. She filled a medium size flate-rate postal box with items from her studio, and sent it to the next participant, who took out what she wanted, replaced the items with items of her own, and so on. The box made its way overseas, where it went to Scotland, Germany, Denmark, The Netherlands, Sweden, and finally back to the states. After traveling around for several months (and hitting a snag or two along the way) it finally showed up at my front door, overflowing with goodies:

With a 25 item limit, it was tough to decide what to keep:

Then came the decision of what to put back in:

Here are just a few of the wonderful treasures I ended up with:

What a fun thing to do, and something I will gladly do again any time!

More kitty pins

As promised, round two of kitty pins are ready to be "adopted out" to their new homes!

These smiling feline faces come in springy shades and have Swarovski crystal eyes for a little extra sparkle!

You can find them at Kellie's Consignments for now; and soon I will be posting dates and locations of upcoming spring and summer arts and craft shows. I can hardly wait!

Colorful cat pins

"Honey, it's cold in here, throw on another cat!"

So now it's officially the first day of spring, and it's cold and snowing. Gotta love Michigan!

If you want to throw on another cat, I won't guarantee these will keep you warm, but they'll keep you company throughout your day:

Kitty pins in a variety of colors for spring and beyond, with rhinestone collars, glass beads for eyes and tons of "catitude".

They are soon to be joined by more kitty pins in a different style. More on that next time.

Thinking green--Happy St. Patty's Day

It's St. Patrick's Day, and everyone is thinking green--even Mother Nature! The daffodils are not only coming up, they're budding already! Here is the first crocus to poke it's head up in my front garden:

More white than green, but you get the idea.

In honor of St. Patty's Day, I made a few shamrocks, complete with their own bling from the pot o' gold:

They are displayed at Kellie's Consignments, in case anyone forgot to wear green and needs a last-minute shamrock to keep from getting pinched!

Thinking spring!

Wow, it feels like spring has sprung! I know we'll have more wintery weather, but I'm sure enjoying this for now. I have updated my display at Kellie's Consignments and added some new items to wear with your spring wardrobe; chunky slab earrings, rings, pins and pendants made to look like ceramic tile pieces in the colors that are hot for spring:

Be sure to stop into Kellie's and check out not only my new items, but ALL the fantastic spring things coming in for women, men and your home!

Next up--cat pins in fun color combos, coming soon!
